SCRIPT CONSULTANT
JANET NEIPRIS was Chair of NYU’s Dramatic Writing Department for eighteen years, teaching and consulting on Plays, Screenplays, and TV Pilots and Series. For another fifteen years, she headed the Graduate Playwriting Program. She trained hundreds of prominent Playwrights and Dramatic Writers including Kenneth Lonergan, Doug Wright, Rajiv Joseph, Julia Cho, Lauren Gunderson, Anna Ziegler, Antoinette Nwandu, Suzanne Collins (The Hunger Games), Julia Brownell, Sharyn Rothstein, Neil LaBute, Donald Glover, Molly Metzler, Chisa Hutchinson, Anne Washburne, Steve Yockey, James Tyler, Kris Diaz, Tasha Gordon-Solmon, Madelyn George, and Richard Greenberg. Janet has taught scriptwriters at UCLA, USC, Loyola Marymount, as well in London, Paris, Florence, Prague, Australia, and South Africa. A recipient of two NEA’s in Playwriting, and two Rockefeller Grants, her plays have been published and produced in the U.S, UK, and China. The books “To Be A Playwright”, and “A Master Class in Dramatic Writing” published by Routledge.
